I discovered your Substack not long ago and now I don't miss a post. By far, this is my fave Substack because it most resonates with me. But man, oh man, this piece was as if you'd jumped into my head. This is exactly how I experience AI and how I use AI. I consider it a thought partner more than an automation tool. It allows me to do what I do best with AI as activator, accelerator, and amplifier. You articulated this so incredibly well. Thanks for sharing as always!

Thank you for this, it’s wonderful. Such extraordinary writing, and there are more ideas in this single piece than I’ve seen in some people’s entire careers.

Much to think about, thank you. Did you use AI to write it?

I ask AI to help me structure my thinking and sometimes write. But my general preference is to write myself. I usually dictate first, then transcribe, then edit.

This is all kinds of genius - thank you so much for writing it!

Amazing blend of utilitarian thinking, how-to, philosophy, and of course, general strategic insight. I work in advertising, so I’m biased, but I bet people of varying disciplines could get a lot out of this article.

Wow. Extremely interesting! Very well written. Nutritious food for thought. Not just for creative work, but all kinds of work. So many ideas to unpack. Will need to come back a few more times. Thank you.

When you reference the 1050s perspective, what if AI brings us back to that? Agents will do things cheaper, faster, and at scale, AND they have no emotional well-being to consider. How does that mental shift impact your human employees?

Great piece, and I plan to come back to it. Thanks for sharing with such clarity!
