This is so beautiful thank you for sharing it Zoe. My dad passed away a few years ago and I think a dad is one of the hardest people to lose, especially for daughters. They are profoundly important to our sense of self. Our dads sound similar. My dad used to reply to every newsletter I wrote with his thoughts and told everyone about it. He was always so proud of me. What I would give to get one more email from him. My second son looks just like him and even though he didn’t get to meet him - my son is a beautiful daily reminder of my dad. Sending lots of love and so sorry for your loss. Your dad sounds like he was an amazing person. 💕
I dread the day that I lose my Dad. He just lost his best friend, Sam the lab who slept in his bed where my mother used to sleep. Beautiful eulogy Zoe. Dad’s are the best.

Just finished reading this, teary eyed, missing my Dad who I lost 15 years ago. You’re right, they’re always around. I still feel him :)
